Williams Baptist College

Overview

Williams Baptist University, founded in 1941 and located in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, is a private, four-year, liberal arts college with a Baptist affiliation. Nestled in a rural setting, approximately 25 miles northwest of Jonesboro, the intimate campus fosters a tight-knit academic community with a range of undergraduate programs, notable for majors in education, religious studies, and psychology. The college asserts a less competitive application process, aiming to provide access to higher education to a broad applicant pool. Students at Williams Baptist can opt for on-campus living in one of the multiple residence halls designed to support the academic and personal development. While Williams Baptist maintains a variety of extracurricular activities, it does not have a particular emphasis on athletics renowned on a national scale.

In the most recent statistical year 951 prospective students applied, and 564 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 144 enrolled in the school.  549 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 35 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $17,980 plus fees of $1,470.
