The University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF), established in 1917 as the Alaska Agricultural College and School of Mines, is a public research university located in Fairbanks, Alaska. UAF is the flagship campus of the University of Alaska System and boasts a diverse and rigorous academic profile, offering a range of programs with particular strengths in Arctic biology, engineering, geophysics, and Alaska Native studies.
