Talladega College

Overview

Talladega College, located in Talladega, Alabama, is a private, historically Black liberal arts college with a rich history dating back to its founding in 1867. Known for the Amistad Murals located in its library, which depict scenes from the history of African-Americans, the college offers a serene campus setting with a blend of historic and modern buildings. The institution presents a range of academic programs, with its most popular majors including Business Administration, Social Science, and Biology. Talladega College maintains a moderately selective admissions process. The college provides on-campus housing options to foster an engaged academic environment. Situated approximately 50 miles east of Birmingham, the college enables access to urban cultural and professional opportunities while retaining a close-knit collegiate atmosphere. While Talladega College is not predominately known for its athletics, it competes in the NAIA as the Talladega Tornadoes, with various sport offerings for its student-athletes.

Talladega College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  851 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 52 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $12,130 plus fees of $1,736.
