Lurleen B. Wallace Community College (LBWCC), founded in 1969, serves the South Alabama region from its main campus in Andalusia, Alabama, with additional campuses in Greenville, Opp, and Luverne, as well as a center in MacArthur. Located approximately 84 miles south of Montgomery, LBWCC is a public two-year institution offering a diverse range of academic, technical, and vocational programs. With an open admissions policy, the college provides accessible educational opportunities catered toward associate degrees, certificates, and non-credit workforce education. Among the available programs, Nursing and Allied Health are particularly noteworthy. LBWCC's main campus features a contemporary design and is equipped with special facilities for the performing arts.
