Bevill State Community College

Overview

Bevill State Community College, based in Jasper, Alabama, is a public two-year institution serving a diverse student population in rural Walker County, and is part of the Alabama Community College System. Established in 1992 through the consolidation of Walker State Technical College and Brewer State Junior College, the college operates additional campuses in Fayette, Hamilton, and Sumiton, and a center in Carrollton, enhancing its reach within the region. Bevill State offers associate degrees, certificates, and non-credit programs across numerous fields of study, with health sciences, business, and technical programs among the most pursued. Bevill State Community College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  1,054 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 2,649 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $4,000 plus fees of $1,278.
